A Special Soul Remembered in Art

This is a very personal piece for me.  A handcrafted memorial plaque was created in loving memory of a beautiful soul—my niece Jaque—who left this world way too early. Designed to reflect the passions that made her unique, this 24" x 24" layered piece incorporates the magic she loved in books and movies with a hobbit home and her love of wolves.  It also includes a meaningful scripture from Matthew 5:8.

It is crafted with layered steel, torch accents, and vivid metal cast paints. It was placed at the site where her ashes were buried, nestled among stones and blooms—symbols of the lasting impact she made on the hearts of those who loved her.

This piece is a powerful reminder that memorial art can be just as vibrant, joyful, and unique as the life it honors.
